Japanese Acupuncture Therapy

Japanese Acupuncture Therapy is a specialised field of acupuncture incorporating many extremely gentle needling techniques, including non-insertive methods, which work directly with the qi flow through the meridians.  A fundamental aspect of this therapy is to provide the body with minimal stimulation, which can bring about great change.

By choosing a limited number of acupuncture points, and providing extremely subtle stimulation to these, Japanese acupuncture techniques can provide a very precise correction to the system, restoring balance to the ergetic pathways of the body.By doing this, the core imbalances causing illness are corrected, eliminating the unpleasant symptoms these are causing.

A significant part of Japanese acupuncture treatment involves the use of 'moxibustion' to stimulate some of the acupuncture points.  With this, a smoldering herb is used to heat and stimulate points, but in no way does this cause any discomfort, or burn the skin.  It is, infact a very soothing technique, which has profound effects.  Other techniques used involve the use of 'Manaka ion-pumping cords', which attach to acupuncture needles and works to re-balance the very subtle ionic electrical charge of the body, thereby correcting functional imbalances and restoring health.

There are also many fantastic treatment options involving 'non-insertive' stimulation of acupuncture points and channels, which are great for infants and children.
